Radvent began in 2019 as a text message:

“Am I crazy for wanting some Advent content that doesn’t suck?”

We quickly conspired to get all of our friends to write us essays that…umm…didn’t suck. We wanted something that fit our mood, and reflected the “Peace, Peace, but there is no peace” moment that we are perpetually stuck in.

The ideas that emerged from our conversations guided the weekly themes: darkness as the womb of hope, a gritty hope that clung by a fingernail, a lament that grieved our distance from the eschaton, and a Presence that arrived in a manger all those years ago.

Radvent 2019 was the birth of something new for us. Come inside to hear our cries.
